A dog friendly hotel, Rumor is one of the dozen hotels in Las Vegas that began accommodating dogs in the past year, following a national trend among hotels to allow pet. It hosts dog-friendly parties that combine DJs and cocktails with doggy costume contests.
Terri owner of Cupid's Pet Service in Las Vegas announced that travellers can expect many more dog friendly hotels in the years to come.
Dog friendly policies at all its smaller hotels have been adopted by Siegel Group, the owners of Rumor.
Issues of housekeeping demanded for the dog-friendly rooms to be clustered together. The dog friendly rooms are located as close as possible to exits so that pet owners do not face any problem.
But some choose to differ. Station Casinos' Green Valley Ranch Resort and Red Rock Resort discontinued a dog-friendly policy two years ago because of customer complaints. MGM Resorts International's The Hotel is the only hotel in their chain that is dog friendly. They offer room service menu for dogs, kennels on rent and a special policy for accommodation of two pets together,

Although many hotels advertise as being pet-friendly hotel, what they don't broadcast is how much it can cost.
Hyatt's pet friendly hotel, the Andaz brand in Los Angeles and San Diego charges a non-refundable $150 to keep a pet in the room. In New York the fee is $100.
Hilton's pet friendly hotel venture, the Doubletree brand has several pet-friendly hotel properties, with costs ranging from $50 to $75.
Kimpton Hotels doesn't charge for pets, but any advertised extras, like dog walking and sitting, will come at a cost.
In Las Vegas the cost of using a pet friendly hotel starts with the daily fees of usually at least $25. Many hotels also charge one-time cleaning fees of $100 to deep clean rooms, including shampooing carpets and furniture.
But if you do your research ahead of time, you may find it costs more to take them on the road than to leave them at home.
