Protest against Seal killing
On March 15th the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society will
take their boats to the gulf of Newfoundland to peacefully try and stop the
slaughter of over 1 million baby seals. They'll meet their death within weeks
of being born and will die by being clubbed, shot or a metal hook driven into
their sculls. There is huge opposition all over the world and yes there is a
very strong campaign going right now that may actually lead to this hunt being
stopped once and for all.
On March 15th there will be demonstrations all over the world outside of Canadian
Embassy's and here in Ireland we aim to make our demonstration outside the Irish
Canadian Embassy just as big as last year when almost 40 caring turned up to
peacefully protest the brutal slaughter of the seals. Please come along to show
you're against animal cruelty and add your voice. Last year we and Irish Seal
Sanctuary met with the Canadian Ambassador to Ireland and received support from
the media too.
When: Tuesday, March 15th
Where: Canadian Embassy, Corner of St Stephens Green, Overhead Bank of Scotland
Time: 12pm - 2pm (Please attend anytime between these hours)
With a huge professionally printed vinyl banner reading "Canada, Stop Killing
Seals" and with a huge picture of a seal being hooked in the head and other
professionally printed placards reading "Do Something (With a picture of
seals being killed)" "Oh Canada How Could You".
Please do come along for an hour if you can during your lunch or like many other
people who are booking the hour off work. Either way I really do hope you can
please come along for the seals that are counting on everyone's support. Pick
up the phone to call me if you need any information or if you have questions.
For The Seals, Thank you - John Carmody for Animal Rights Action Network (ARAN)
Ps, We will also be using this opportunity to speak out against the brutal fur
trade and how millions of seals are being brutally slaughtered for their fur.
